Effect of implementing a bundle of care for peripheral intravenous catheter on Nurses 'Performance at the pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Introduction: A care bundle is a collection of evidence-based interventions that have been proved to improve patient and clinical outcomes significantly. Aim the study was evaluate effect implementing for peripheral intravenous on nurses' performance in pediatric intensive unit. Quasi experimental research design used. Subjects Method: Sixty nurses who were responsible providing children received venous catheter infusion or medication (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Tanta Main University Hospital. Also, sixty patients had catheters included 30 before, immediately after, after one month from implementation. Three tools used collect data: structured interview schedule about Intravenous Catheter bundle, an observation Checklist Peripheral Bundle Care, Visual Infusion Phlebitis Grading Scale (V.I.P). Results: Revealed total scores knowledge practice most participated improved month. according visual phlebitis grading scales (VIP), encountered among more than three-fifths studied there significant improvement
